The Syllabus

The syllabus also develops aural and sight-reading skills and teaches pupils about instruments, musical analysis & form and composers from the Baroque era to the present day. These fun, easy-to-follow and engaging activities foster a love of music and learning in general.

The syllabus has been developed over a number of years by our Principal, Claire Meyer, and has been adopted as the foundation of our teaching for beginners and young pupils. Perfect for classroom teaching, after school clubs, and individual pupils to compliment instrumental and/or singing tuition.

The syllabus covers the core elements of the ABRSM Theory, Aural and Sight Singing material from Grade 1 to 2.

Ofqual Qualifications

Completion of the series fully prepares pupils to sit the ABRSM Grade 1 Theory exam – an accredited qualification. For more information about ABRSM accreditation click here.
