Inspiring Confidence Through One-to-One Music Tuition

Since 2013, Chelsea Quavers Music School has provided exceptional music tuition, combining expert teaching with thoughtful, individual guidance for pupils and their families in and around London including Kensington, Chelsea, Fulham and Hammersmith.

Many of our families and Tutors have been with us for years, and several families for more than a decade. We have welcomed younger siblings in turn and guided pupils from their first lessons through to Diploma examinations and A Level Music.

Our Tutors

Each of our Tutors holds at least one music degree, with teaching experience ranging from a minimum of two years to many years of established practice. Many come to us through personal recommendation. All are DBS-checked, thoroughly referenced and interviewed by us in person.

We select our Tutors with great care, looking for outstanding musicians who teach with clarity, commitment and imagination, and inspire pupils to achieve their musical potential.

  • Accelerated Grade 5 Music Theory examination preparation
  • ABRSM examination preparation, supported by an excellent record of examination success
  • Trinity examination preparation

  • Sight-reading, sight-singing and aural training

Detailed weekly feedback helps parents understand their child’s progress and supports effective practice between lessons. We also provide guidance on examinations, scholarships and the next steps in each pupil’s musical education.

In-person Music Tuition in London

Our Central London Music Tutors provide in-person lessons, with tuition carefully tailored to each pupil’s experience, abilities and aspirations.

We welcome enquiries from families across London. Lesson arrangements depend on Tutor availability in your area.

From the first steps on an instrument to preparation for scholarships and Diploma examinations, we develop secure musical foundations, confidence and a lasting enjoyment of music.

Instrument & Singing Tuition

Our instrument and singing lessons are tailored to each child’s individual needs, whether they are learning for enjoyment, preparing for performances or working towards graded examinations. Lessons focus on developing strong technique, musical understanding and confidence, helping pupils build a solid foundation while enjoying every step of their musical journey.

Music Theory Tuition

A good understanding of music theory supports every aspect of musical development. We offer one-to-one tuition for pupils of all abilities, from beginners through to ABRSM Grade 8 Theory, helping children develop the knowledge and confidence needed for examinations, practical performance and wider musical understanding.

Our experienced tutors provide personalised GCSE & A-Level Music tuition, supporting pupils with every aspect of the syllabus, including performance, composition, listening and musical analysis. Lessons are designed to strengthen understanding, build confidence and help students achieve their full potential in their examinations.
